What seeds are being carrying forth for the next generation to sow? Are they good seeds, healthy seeds? Will they thrive wherever they are planted or will they need special care?
And when they bloom, what kind of garden will these seeds create? Perhaps they will become a garden of flowers bursting with the colors of the rainbow to delight the eye and soothe the spirit. Or maybe they are nurturing seeds, growing in a garden of tomatoes and carrots and beans and corn to feed the body and delight the palate. Still others, given the chance, might become entire forests, creating a home for the birds and wild animals, and a place for us to connect to the truth within ourselves.
There are perhaps a few that will turn into weeds and still others that will do nothing at all. Weeds are only relative to where they are planted and nature always gives us an abundance of seeds to make up for the ones that do not produce.
My own seed to carry forth is that of the artist. Like the flowers in the garden the purpose of my work is to delight the eye and soothe the spirit. And sometimes that work will take on a life of its own and become an entire forest, that connection to the truth within ourselves.
What seeds are you carrying forth?

“Spiny Pod” is a true delight, and I can see why it’s one of your favorites! Your piece has given me plenty to think about, and as it’s still early spring, I’ll simply allow the magic of the season to divinely unfold…
I love this time of year when I get to plant new seeds, and tend to them so that they might bear fruit. It makes me more mindful in the fall, when I collect not only the fruits of my efforts but the seeds for the next season, properly storing them so that when Spring returns, I will have all that is necessary to begin the cycle again. – SerenaK
My sends are also akin to my deep love of art. The desire to produce beauty and appreciation of what I see. The deep love of colors of nature and how we as humans can reproduce the beauty and fascination that is all around us. I become absorbed in whatever my current art project & lost in trying to show how wonderful an interpretation we can produce, and if good enough, people react to your reproduction without even trying. This is also a season I am the busiest, because I also want natures’ true beauty to shine by enriching the soil and planting colorful islands across my yard. These things that please my eyes and feed my own stomach and health in good feelings and natural production of natures’ bounty. I don’t know about everyone else, but these things bring peace to me and natural balm to the spirit.
